Newlyweds, The Burgos, sneak off to soak in all their joy during their wedding reception

Maternity: Kathleen + Edwin

I was committed to this session like nobody’s business. It was my goal this year to photograph a family in a sunflower field, and I couldn’t have asked for a better tribe. Kathleen + Edwin are expecting their baby girl, and it’s time to capture their memories.

We arrived at Happy Day Farms, a sunflower field in New Jersey. The drive went by pretty quickly, which I was grateful for. I tend to get really car sick on long car rides— but only when I’m in the backseat! Weird.

We quickly realized how hot this day was as soon as we stepped out of the car. Moods changed and I was just secretly hoping that wouldn’t reflect on camera. Both Kat + Ed were on a mission to get the shot.

I absolutely loved the final product of these images + was so eager to deliver them.

You have got to give credit where it’s’ due. Thank you K + E for being such troopers, and being fabulous at the same time, I’m so grateful.

If you’re interested in having a maternity session of your own, I’ll be so happy to provide that memory for you.

Family: Dear Santa…

Feliz Noche Buena! It’s here guys we officially made it, it’s the holidays! It hasn’t been the easiest year, but it’s time to celebrate, we definitely deserve it.

I have about 3 to 4 years working with Darlene from Suitheelscurves , my favorite blogger. She focuses on everything from lifestyle, family and plus size fashion. She’s so freaking sweet and every time we work together, it’s always fun!

Since we like to work together in batches, let me explain, we take one day, with a whole bunch of outfits, and create content in bulk. So to me I didn’t think it was out of the ordinary to show up and go in one a few concepts today.

Little did I know that’s Arlene, had a pretty nice surprise up her sleeve, or should I say in her belly!

Creating these announcement images for Darlene was such a blessing, I definitely jumped up and down and gave her a huge hug! Now Michaela is going to be a big sister and her excitement is nothing short of enthusiastic.

Dear Santa, this year, a family of 3 will become a family of 4!

Travel : Washington D.C. 2019

Sometimes it’s time to escape the hustle and bustle of NYC, and find some bustle somewhere else.
Weekend getaways tend to be my favorite. I can pack a small backpack with me, have a new adventure and go back to work on Monday like nothing ever happened.

A friend recently told me about Bolt bus (and yes, I may be late to the party.. even though I took one about 5 years ago to get to Boston, and completely forgot they existed) and it was time to hit the road.
I visited Washington D.C. a long time ago as a kid. I must have been around 10 years old. I still remember the bright baggy mustard pants, and the turquoise and purple windbreaker jacket I was wearing(It was the late 90’s okaaaay) Think, little Dominican girl dressed like The Fresh Prince, hahaha. My dad’s car ended up leaving us on the side of the road, and our choice was to rent something, anything to get there the rest of the way.    The closest rental car spot only had a limo left…it was the best entrance I’ve made to the white house. How can you possibly beat that?
Adulting is a little different, I hopped off the bus and roamed the streets, taking  in everything so I can remember it this time.
Getting caught in the rain, and not really caring about my hair or clothes was just an extra touch of freedom.
One of my favorite things about has got to be the endless amounts of free museums. If you find yourself visiting, I promise you, your biggest expense is going to be getting there and figuring out where you’re sleeping. And that wasn’t even too costly. I didn’t really do any bar hopping, but museum hopping was all the rage this weekend. Check  out The Smithsonians if you plan on visiting.
