City College Graduate

There’s a unique energy that comes with photographing a recent college graduate. It’s a mixture of excitement, pride, and a bit of uncertainty about the future. When Niscary contacted me for her graduation portraits, I knew this session would be special. She wanted to capture this significant milestone in her life with photos that reflected her journey and accomplishments.

There’s no better place to commemorate the event than choosing the university campus as our location. It was the perfect backdrop, rich with history and memories.

Niscary had planned an outfit change from her cap and gown which honored her roots, the motherland, the Dominican Republic. As a proud Latina, this accomplishment was one for the books, making her family proud.

One of the most rewarding aspects of photographing graduates is capturing their raw, genuine emotions. Niscary’s joy and pride were apparent. Photographing Niscary’s portraits was a privilege. it’s an honor to capture such a significant moment in someone’s life. Through my lens, I aim to reflect not just her achievements, but her spirit holds so much meaning to her. These portraits portray the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Every graduate has a unique story, and being able to tell that story through photography is what I aim to accomplish, time and time again.

Sweet Sixteen Photography: Ana

Turning 16 is such a huge milestone for many young women. In my culture, we celebrate our quinceñeras, which is when you turn 15. Still, slowly many of us have adapted to the American way, which is the rite of passage into becoming a woman, which in turn is celebrated, especially with a huge party.

Analis, our birthday girl, was excited for her 16th birthday and wanted to commemorate the special occasion, without the party. So when she messaged me for her own sweet sixteen photo shoot, I was honored to be the one to document this noteworthy birthday.

Due to this being such a special moment for Analis, naturally, she wanted her favorite people beside her. Her mother Ada, and her brother Rinaldi came ready to see her shine and jumped in a few images. Ada, her mother was glowing with love, watching her daughter in front of the camera, and I have to say, some of my favorite images from this session are of them together. That mother-daughter bond was absolutely beautiful.
The whole time, I’m hoping I get the pleasure of one of my images making it to their walls at home. That’s the best compliment!

If you or anyone you know is celebrating a special birthday, please contact me.
I can’t wait to meet you and celebrate your special day.

Baptism Photography: Diana

Watching families grow has to be one of my favorite things. The Burgos are my VIP clients, as they’ve allowed me the honor to document their engagement session, their wedding, their maternity, and their newborn memories. Naturally, I was excited to see them once again, to document their beautiful daughter Diana, being baptized.

The location was the infamous Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue. I mean, absolutely gorgeous… inside and out. I had no idea that inside the church, there were smaller chapels at the back. Giving you the opportunity for a more private mass. It ended up working in my favor as well, as I roamed around the pews so I wouldn’t miss any key moments.

I decided to stay longer and honor The Burgos while they celebrated their Princess Diana at Duomo 51, a fine Italian restaurant with a rooftop view overlooking the Cathedral.
The Cake was nothing short of brilliant, with a flowery theme, which matched the centerpieces of the table. The food was delicious, and everyone is always so welcoming when they see me again. I absolutely adore this family, and I cannot wait to continue on building with them. Seeing their family grow and flourish. I wish them all the blessings.
