Photography: Ivana Noble

Another successful session, this time with the lovely Ivana Noble.
She did absolutely great, and this shoot hit a new record for me, as it being the quickest and most effortless partnership to date. We met up, Ivana didn’t need much direction, and 30 minutes later turned to “it was so nice working with you” and “goodbye’.
Talk about getting the job done right.
Here’s to hoping I have more productive opportunities like this,
Best,

Photography: Mommy & Amaury

Capture all the memories. Yes, I’m the aunt running around with a camera, trying to make sure I catch it all. These kids are growing so fast, and it’s my job to make sure we never forget the little fingers, the innocent smiles, and the adorable little dimples. Since Amaury will be turning one soon, My sister Jula wanted me to photograph her mini me.
I’ve been dipping my toe in studio photography, and it’s a different world from natural lighting (out door photography). I have to learn how to manipulate and create light where it didn’t exist before. Not to mention, doing that while I have a squirming baby who wasn’t really in the mood to stay still. I told Jula to hop in the picture to make Ama feel a little more comfortable, and will you look at that, it actually worked!
I still have a lot to learn, and I’ll get there in due time, but for now, I’m pretty happy that my sister loved all the pictures, and I get to call that a win!
PS. Amaury’s all white outfit was provided by my trip to Cuba last year, and he has finally grown into it, pero que caballero!
Muchos besos,

I love when I get to use my camera for feel good moments. My cousin Sasha is expecting her second child, and I was in charge of the photos. She didn’t want anything fancy, and wanted to a cozy night in at home, so that’s just what we did. I also had the opportunity of shooting her first, so now that it’s time for number two, big brother Jonahs was ready to get in on all the fun. He did such great job!

Photography: Jack with his Daniels

No, I haven’t stopped drawing. Like everything in life is it’s all about balance. My camera has been getting some love and attention from me and today was no different. These shots weren’t planned at all, but I love how they came out.
I’ve been wanting to photograph more men, since all I seem to draw, paint, and photograph is women. Posing a woman in my opinion is easy. It’s just more flawless.
The last thing I want to do is pose a male subject in a feminine manner and have him not like the end result. I’ve been doing some homework on the male anatomy (chuckles) and photography..because let’s face it, I self teach myself everything I know.

All in due time…

Photography: Little Red Riding Ash

It was time to test out my new baby, my Canon 10-18mm lens. I’ve only dipped  my toes into this wide angle lens, I didn’t want to waste an opportunity with my gorgeous model for the day, so a lot of these were taken with my handy 50mm portrait lens.

Any who, look how glorious Ashley was looking in her plaid red cape. She reminded me of an urban little red riding hood.

Photo Journal: Walk In the Dark

Like many, I have trouble photographing in the dark. The other day I decided to take a walk at night, and just shoot. I was inspired by the darkness and how the minimal lights gleamed. These were some of my favorite, especially that church. Love.

Photography: Malikah Kelly

The other day I had the pleasure of photographing fashion blogger Malikah Kelly from malikahkelly.com
We were both in a bit of a rush, but if I didn’t tell you that, I don’t think you would have ever known. I’m digging how these pictures came out, and she was ecstatic about them as well, which made my job much better.
