The Poconos | Summer 2015

Mini Getaways are the best.

My brother Kiki invited me and Chris to join him once again with his group of friends to the Poconos. Last time we were there (see that post HERE , see the video HERE), it was winter, in a different cabin, and we were all bundled up keeping warm with shots. This time the sun kept beaming on us, and most of us were too busy running around twerking on each other. As always, we were all ready to party. We had no worries, but to drink the night away, laugh and make some memories.

This cabin had a completely different layout than the first one we stayed it. The basement had a pool table, the upstairs master bedroom had a hot tub and a steam shower. I couldn’t wait to use those! Our first night was filled cheeseburgers and loud music. Our second day, everyone headed to the waterpark, while Chris and I enjoyed our view at the local lake. We took advantage of the time and stuffed our faces with wings and cheese fries..yum!  When we got back to the cabin, everyone was still out, so we cleaned up the whole house and decided to play naked tag around the house.

By the time everyone got back, the house was clean, and we were knocked out on the couch…wearing clothes of course!
Tonight was the night to play “Never have I ever” and we quickly started learning new things about each other. We all started taking sips, and if you were the only one to do something, there was a shot with your name all over it. I have so many more pictures to add, I’ll get one that once I get home. See you guys soon!

I definitely have to thank Areliz, for snatching my phone away from me, and getting so much footage of the night, Thank you so much babe!

Atlantic City 2015

Vacations. We all need them, and want them even more. Chris’s mom, Millie has spoiled us rotten. She planned a whole family trip to Atlantic City. I’ve been brushing up on my card gaming skills, you know, just in case.

I have never been, and was pretty excited.

The car ride was pretty uncomfortable, but we all managed through, when we finally got to spread our legs, the sight of the hotel made us forget about the pain. The lobby was full of machines, everything was so bright and light up. I only thought to myself.. If this is how cool A.C. looks, imagine Las Vegas?

We headed to the rooms to get comfy, and headed right back out to roam the Atlantic City boardwalk, which was pretty chilly surprisingly. When we got back, the boy, Chris and Matthew, taught us girls how to play poker. I’ve always wanted to learn, and even though Chris has tried to teach me before.. for some reason, I was finally understanding it now. Maybe it had to do with all the beer in my system.

The next day, we roamed the boardwalk some more, played in the sand and soaked up some sun rays with more beers. Beers are always the answer.

Dinner with the family was great. We all had burgers, keeping it simple and oh, so satisfying.

I’ll admit, that bubble bath was everything, especially since I had a special someone and some wine to join me. The hotel pool party was way too good, and i was feeling the buzz in no time. I was pretty much in my own world the whole time.

Chris started making conversation with some girl in a white dress and after a couple minutes I decided to go be nosy (you know…just in case) and when I looked at her, I immediately recognized her. I’ve met Laurie about once and have had her on my social media for some time now. We spent the rest of the night chatting up a storm, and drinking with her and her beau.

The morning and check out time came a little too quickly. Chris was knocked out, while I packed our things. Ashley and Matt were already done and I’m running around trying to make sure we didn’t forget anything.

This tiny getaway was much needed. i had a great time. Thank you so much Millie, for allowing to be a party of your family’s escapades.

Behind The Scenes: The Artist Process behind “Grandmothers of Tomorrow”

I have so much work to do, and starting to paint is usually the hardest part of the whole process. I didn’t even bother trying to get all pretty, I had work to do and I was ready. This show is in 3 weeks and I want to be able to blow some socks off. I started to paint some backgrounds, and even got to cover some old pieces I never got to finish. Smelling spray paint was amazing and got an instant flashback of my graffiti days.

I wish I could still do the things I used to do when I was younger, but let’s face it.. I’m way too old for that kind of thing now, no matter how much I love the lifestyle.

Ashley came over to keep me company, well basically to put my ass to work, keep me motivated and stuff me with wine. How could I possibly say no to wine? She knows me too well.

I named this piece “Grandmothers of Tomorrow”

A beautiful red head, all tatted up from head to toe. I think she looks beautiful, I almost don’t want to sell her.

waaaaah!

Video: Santo Domingo 2015

Finally finally finally… I have finally finished the video from my trip to Santo Domingo. Puerto Rico was amazing, (see that video HERE) it was more of adventure and finding different foods and culture, but Santo Domingo was where it was it. Santo Domingo is all about family, and mine is the best.

Not only are my cousins always ready to party… hey, if you’re thirsty here’s a beer!

Hanging out with them is never a dull moment, I hope you guys enjoy these clips that I’ve pulled together.

As soon as we landed we headed straight to Bocachica to eat some fried fish, yum! We got on ATV’s (which I crashed), hotel pools, The Dominican Carnival, and just straight up drinking at the house.

On the last clips you’ll see more of what I’m talking about, my family decided to start betting on basketball, if you missed the shot, you had to take a shot. hahhaa, nothing short of amazing.

Enjoy!
