Behind The Scenes: The Artist Process behind “Grandmothers of Tomorrow”

I have so much work to do, and starting to paint is usually the hardest part of the whole process. I didn’t even bother trying to get all pretty, I had work to do and I was ready. This show is in 3 weeks and I want to be able to blow some socks off. I started to paint some backgrounds, and even got to cover some old pieces I never got to finish. Smelling spray paint was amazing and got an instant flashback of my graffiti days.

I wish I could still do the things I used to do when I was younger, but let’s face it.. I’m way too old for that kind of thing now, no matter how much I love the lifestyle.

Ashley came over to keep me company, well basically to put my ass to work, keep me motivated and stuff me with wine. How could I possibly say no to wine? She knows me too well.

I named this piece “Grandmothers of Tomorrow”

A beautiful red head, all tatted up from head to toe. I think she looks beautiful, I almost don’t want to sell her.

waaaaah!
