Vlog: Art Off The Clock Presents Art Auction & Chill at Harlem Nights

When you have a bunch of talented people in the same room, magic is bound to happen. Well, first, you have to have a chat full of talented people making plans, decisions and working their asses to make it all come together.
Art Off The Clock was born, and we couldn’t be prouder. We all planned an art auction that was held at the quirky Harlem Nights Bar. Just seeing the place from the outside makes you curious as to what’s going on indoors, and once you walked in, there was no disappointment.
A room full of painters, designers, photographers, and a pyrographer, all excited to share their art. Dj J Fuse, set the vibe up beautifully and our host Joe Hill had everyone cracking up.
This is only the beginning to all we plan on doing, and we can’t wait to share all the fun with you. Check out a re-cap of our first event above and follow us on instagram for upcoming events…. (we actually have one up coming soon, and it’s gonna be sooo good.)
See you guys soon!
Best,

Travel: Chicago 2019

Me and my grand ideas.
I was hanging out with my little brother watching wrestling, roaming on my phone while I hear the announcements of body slams and choke holds. Round trip flight to Chicago for the cheap. I ran across the room to get my debit card and booked without even thinking about it—- for a day.
Yup, you read that right!
Why spend the weekend in NY spending money doing something I can do any time, when I can spend my money someplace new?
I message Kat in the morning with a text a little something like this ” Want to go to some museums and eat deep dish pizza this weekend?”
Her and Ed’s flight were booked a few minutes after. Gotta love it!
The invitation was extended to more friends, Kika, Frankie and Cesar were all ready to go.. and I was ready to plan it all out.

We arrived at the airport, everyone had a backpack stuffed with whatever we would need for a quick overnight trip. Technically, we’ll be arriving Saturday morning, and roaming around the city the the whole day, Then checkin in to our Airbnb, and roaming a bit Sunday morning before our flight right back home.
Yes, we were exhausted.
But it was all worth it.

Check out our adventure below… hoping we have many more!

Vlog: Santo Domingo 2017

This family trip has been pretty bonding. I’m a big sucker for creating and saving memories. I keep my camera on me at almost all times. As much photos are pretty telling, videos are everything. I remember my mom having countless home videos, and the older we got, they seemed to fade. Now that we have so many kiddies running around, it’s time for me to pick up the habit.
This is a quick summary of our 2017 family vacation. —- Enjoy!

Behind the Scenes: Oracles

I finally picked up a paintbrush this week. I have showcase coming up where I’ll be presenting a few pieces. I took a stroll through Michael’s, and every time I walk in, I feel like a little kid in a toy store. I fell in love with a few bottles of metallic paint. I ended up purchasing 3 bottles, a nice teal, a gold and a bronze… I think that was my favorite.
I had no idea what I was going to paint, but I was going to make it happen. I threw on some trap music, and then some electronic and just let the brushes do their work. I’ll show you guys the end result soon!

Video: Cuba 2017

Many ask me, “How was Cuba?”
How could I possibly explain the experience of this tragic beauty. The island is poor, all you want to do is turn around and help someone. It turns out, that even though the architecture of all the historic structures are stunning, my favorite beauty happened to be the people. Almost every single person I encountered happened to have such an inviting personality. So humble, so willing to take the time out of their day to initiate conversation. Many Cubans were just as curious about us, as we were of them. The patience and the manners that the locals had, made me wish I can take the manners, behavior and the politeness back to the states.
We’re all so caught up in what’s in front of our screens, we don’t take the time out to speak to people. We’re so used to having options, we don’t care if we were rude to you…”Oh, well

It’s taken me some time, 300 clips, 28 minutes of footage. I’ve tried my best to condense it as much as I could, and all this time later, the video is finally done. So now, when you ask me, “How was Cuba?” You can see for yourself!

Video: Art Basel 2016

Art Basel was an amazing experience. This girl trip was a teaser to what we really have coming up, which you guys will all kn ow about soon enough. I’ve been busting my butt trying to create more dimensional content and that’s why, slowly but surely I’ll be adding more videos on this site. I love drawing and my photography is getting way better, but sometimes you gotta up the ante a bit. I hope you all enjoy this video of out 24 hours in Miami. And you haven’t seen images from that post, you do so HERE. See you guys soon!

Atlantic City 2015

Vacations. We all need them, and want them even more. Chris’s mom, Millie has spoiled us rotten. She planned a whole family trip to Atlantic City. I’ve been brushing up on my card gaming skills, you know, just in case.

I have never been, and was pretty excited.

The car ride was pretty uncomfortable, but we all managed through, when we finally got to spread our legs, the sight of the hotel made us forget about the pain. The lobby was full of machines, everything was so bright and light up. I only thought to myself.. If this is how cool A.C. looks, imagine Las Vegas?

We headed to the rooms to get comfy, and headed right back out to roam the Atlantic City boardwalk, which was pretty chilly surprisingly. When we got back, the boy, Chris and Matthew, taught us girls how to play poker. I’ve always wanted to learn, and even though Chris has tried to teach me before.. for some reason, I was finally understanding it now. Maybe it had to do with all the beer in my system.

The next day, we roamed the boardwalk some more, played in the sand and soaked up some sun rays with more beers. Beers are always the answer.

Dinner with the family was great. We all had burgers, keeping it simple and oh, so satisfying.

I’ll admit, that bubble bath was everything, especially since I had a special someone and some wine to join me. The hotel pool party was way too good, and i was feeling the buzz in no time. I was pretty much in my own world the whole time.

Chris started making conversation with some girl in a white dress and after a couple minutes I decided to go be nosy (you know…just in case) and when I looked at her, I immediately recognized her. I’ve met Laurie about once and have had her on my social media for some time now. We spent the rest of the night chatting up a storm, and drinking with her and her beau.

The morning and check out time came a little too quickly. Chris was knocked out, while I packed our things. Ashley and Matt were already done and I’m running around trying to make sure we didn’t forget anything.

This tiny getaway was much needed. i had a great time. Thank you so much Millie, for allowing to be a party of your family’s escapades.

Behind The Scenes: The Artist Process behind “Grandmothers of Tomorrow”

I have so much work to do, and starting to paint is usually the hardest part of the whole process. I didn’t even bother trying to get all pretty, I had work to do and I was ready. This show is in 3 weeks and I want to be able to blow some socks off. I started to paint some backgrounds, and even got to cover some old pieces I never got to finish. Smelling spray paint was amazing and got an instant flashback of my graffiti days.

I wish I could still do the things I used to do when I was younger, but let’s face it.. I’m way too old for that kind of thing now, no matter how much I love the lifestyle.

Ashley came over to keep me company, well basically to put my ass to work, keep me motivated and stuff me with wine. How could I possibly say no to wine? She knows me too well.

I named this piece “Grandmothers of Tomorrow”

A beautiful red head, all tatted up from head to toe. I think she looks beautiful, I almost don’t want to sell her.

waaaaah!

Snapchatology.1

Lately I’ve been Snapchatting my life away. Wait, is that even a word?

I decided to form these clips together and share them with you guys. Feel free to follow me —> minxinx

I’ll be posting more videos soon.  I’ve actually been getting comments about the videos I have been posting and people want to see me vlog. Something that I’ve been trying to get into slowly. Let’s see how all of that works out.

So I decided to name these Snapchatology, the numbers will change gradually the more things grow.

I know I’ve been working like crazy lately, so please forgive me. As much as I love writing, drawing, painting, and going out sharing my experiences with you, momma has bills to pay.
