Atlantic City 2015

Vacations. We all need them, and want them even more. Chris’s mom, Millie has spoiled us rotten. She planned a whole family trip to Atlantic City. I’ve been brushing up on my card gaming skills, you know, just in case.

I have never been, and was pretty excited.

The car ride was pretty uncomfortable, but we all managed through, when we finally got to spread our legs, the sight of the hotel made us forget about the pain. The lobby was full of machines, everything was so bright and light up. I only thought to myself.. If this is how cool A.C. looks, imagine Las Vegas?

We headed to the rooms to get comfy, and headed right back out to roam the Atlantic City boardwalk, which was pretty chilly surprisingly. When we got back, the boy, Chris and Matthew, taught us girls how to play poker. I’ve always wanted to learn, and even though Chris has tried to teach me before.. for some reason, I was finally understanding it now. Maybe it had to do with all the beer in my system.

The next day, we roamed the boardwalk some more, played in the sand and soaked up some sun rays with more beers. Beers are always the answer.

Dinner with the family was great. We all had burgers, keeping it simple and oh, so satisfying.

I’ll admit, that bubble bath was everything, especially since I had a special someone and some wine to join me. The hotel pool party was way too good, and i was feeling the buzz in no time. I was pretty much in my own world the whole time.

Chris started making conversation with some girl in a white dress and after a couple minutes I decided to go be nosy (you know…just in case) and when I looked at her, I immediately recognized her. I’ve met Laurie about once and have had her on my social media for some time now. We spent the rest of the night chatting up a storm, and drinking with her and her beau.

The morning and check out time came a little too quickly. Chris was knocked out, while I packed our things. Ashley and Matt were already done and I’m running around trying to make sure we didn’t forget anything.

This tiny getaway was much needed. i had a great time. Thank you so much Millie, for allowing to be a party of your family’s escapades.

Bonnaroo Music Festival: Day 1

DSC04451Broo14_Logo_RGBI cannot express how hot it is here. Shade is limited, and there’s plenty of enough sun to spare. Non the less, I am super excited to get this trip going, aaaaaah! Camp was set up… there are RV’s everywhere. Our grill was up, and I can’t wait to taste some food soon. Some guys across from us, our neighbors for the week, were such nice guys. I asked to pass around the football with them, and like always, boys are surprised by arm.

Hanging out at camp for a little while, blasting music, gulping beers and making jokes, just waiting for the right time to hit to actually head to the farm. That’s where all the music, performers, stages, vendors and almost everyone was at. The lineup is ridiculous, and I know I have my mind set on some people I want to see. Janelle Monae, Kanye West, The Phoenix, Lionel Richie, Elton John, Chance the Rapper, and soooo soooo much more.

Since everyone is split up in to different days and stages, we have our handy schedules to keep us on check. All of us wanting to see someone different. I was just ready to start dancing… I sure love dancing!

Ramon sure wasn’t! )DSC04485.bDSC04503( I was soooo grateful for this hat… saved my face! )DSC04492DSC04494DSC04491DSC04500DSC04525DSC04506We headed to Silent Disco… which had to be one more favorite things to do. Once walking in, you are handed headphones just like everyone else. Which I find hilarious, because passing by this tent, it’s so quiet, yet you see everyone jamming, dancing and getting down. Pretty funny stuff when you don’t hear any music playing. So when you come in, headphones on deck. Time to start getting crazy. Techno was playing and I was getting pumped. I think this was the first time I actually fist pumped! hahahaha.

Like I mentioned before, popping cherries everywhere, first times for everything!

Road Trip to Tennessee

DSC04365First time in a RV. First time going to a music festival. First time camping. First time road trip. Popping a lot of cherries this week. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a few family affairs, like heading to Miami or maybe visiting family in Pennsylvania. Does anybody really count those? I know I don’t! This time  had a great group of friends to make this trip a little bit more random with better laughs.

Departure 5am, The RV is spacey, we all have our beds picked out, board games and a hell lot of beers.

Destination: Manchester, Tennessee for the infamous Bonnaroo Festival.rvI’m usually one to get car sick, but with all the sleep I’ve gotten, I think I’m good for a while. According to the Captain of this RV, we have about 4  more hours to go. I have to admit, I’m pretty excited and nervous all wrapped in to one. It’s a little tough to be going  out enjoying myself mid-June out of all times. I feel guilty. My family is probably sitting together at my grandmother’s house, eating, drinking and praying in Jasmine’s name. This week is the third Anniversary  of her tragic death. Yet, here I am enjoying myself. Knowing Jas, that’s how she would’ve wanted it to be. Hell, she’d probably would have been jealous if I didn’t invite her along. And we for one have enough beer to make her happy… she was always the life of the party. The loudest laugh and snarky remarks. Damn, how I miss her. In another week she would have been 26. Now that would have called for a celebration. I’m sure she would have had a bottle of Patron hidden around somewhere.DSC04370We’re still in Virginia somewhere with the view of clear skies, lots of trees and a trucks big ass in front of us. I’m trying to kill this bottle of wine before we get there, since glass isn’t allowed in the farm. Tastes like juice and it’s making me sick. I guess that’s what I get for buying wine from BJ’s.

Ramon and the Captain have been alternating the role of the driver in control. I’m sure they’re exhausted, especially because they’re the only 2 that drive. The rest of suck.. we know.

I’ll see you guys soon… in Tennessee!

Oh, and ps. check out the digital drawings I’ll be posting up at the end of each post…. gotta kill time somehow, why not draw cartoon versions of myself and my outfit! DSC04386DSC04395DSC04406DSC04407DSC04437PicMonkey Collage
