Family: The One Year Olds Trick or Treat

I loooove Halloween, I always have. And now that the kiddies are here, and old enough to walk a bit, it’s time to start changing some traditions. Harlie was dressed like a little witch, while Amaury was cute puppy. I broke out last year’s costume and it was still a big hit. The whole night was walked around I kept hearing ” Baby shark, doo doo, doo doo” All I want to know is “am I the only upset that there’s no Auntie Shark?”
And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can see & hear the famous and super catchy theme song HERE. There are so many variations of it! (It’s also like the only thing that keeps this kids sane when they throw their temper tantrums!)
It was a nice night for all of us, and I was extremely impressed with a haunted house that was decorated not only on the outside, but the homeowners allowed strangers to walk inside and see all the madness. There was even a special room full of crazy clown, and they even had a movie being projected in the backyard. How sweet!
Until Next time,

Family: Harvest Festival

I’ve always been really good at finding fun stuff to do. Especially in the summer time. NYC is filled with so many activities, all you have to do is a little bit of homework. When the weather starts to drop it gets a little harder, but that doesn’t deter me for long. Now that I  have kiddies in my life (my niece and nephew) I get to search for family things to do— because no one wants a grown woman without kids showing up to family stuff, that’s just weird.

Randall’s Island was hosting a Harvest Festival and I didn’t hesitate to tell my siblings about it. The kids would have the chance to play, listen to live music and just roam around (not inside a house)
I signed up Harlie right away to play with the chickens, and she didn’t seem scared, but she didn’t seem to interested to be touching them either. Amaury was a different story, he just looked so confused as to what this creature was next to him, pecking at the pumpkins on the floor.

The kids are getting bigger, and I find it fascinating how these little humans have their own little personalities. Watching them grow and learn is a such a blessing. I’m truly a lucky aunt.

Photo Journal: ASAP ROCKY

If you were to see my calendar, you would either be really impressed or you would be horrified of how packed and color coded it is. I wasn’t always like this, I used to  be so “go with the flow”. Now I make lists (I’m always running out of paper, and yes I keep them digitally as well) On the calendar was a free presentation in one of Apple’s stores in Soho. I told a  friend to meet there, and since he was still far away, I decided to walk and catch some Pokemon (that’s another story for another day).

While making my way toward Soho to go see Mario. You know who it is, “Oh, baby you, you got what I need, but you say I’m just friend“. Yeah, you  know the song, I bet you sang that, didn’t you. I’m not a crazy Mario fan, he hasn’t really come out with any new music in a little bit, not that I’m aware of at least. But the singles he did have, I was always singing. And I have a huge love for concerts (even though this wasn’t concert) it was free, and anyone who knows me, knows that “free” is my favorite number.
I guess the universe had a different plan for me, because when I passed Madison Avenue, smack down the middle of the street was an interactive pop up hosted by Calvin Klein and Amazon Fashion. Of course I stopped and asked a event staff guy what was going on. I noticed the small stage, and I already knew someone was going to come out, they just had to, I felt it in my bones. I asked him who it would be and he didn’t know. He checked his email and told me ASAP. In my mind, I’m like okaaaaay, but ASAP who, ASAP FERG, ASAP ROCKY, the mob has a few people.. he just looked at me like I spoke Chinese. I grabbed his phone and read the name for myself. I knew it, ROCKY. I made my way inside.. duh! Like I’m going to go see Mario  now (if you ever see this Mario, no offense, I still like you).
I’m not gonna lie, I was getting a bit antsy, especially because it was starting to get to packed, and you know people when something is free, pushing and shoving. But I was already pretty hype because you have to soak it in, that you don’t always know everything. You can’t plan every single detail of your life. I got to experience a wonderful moment, and if my friend wasn’t running late, I wouldn’t have walked, I wouldn’t have bumped into a better (who an compare?) event and be up close to such a handsome man…. oh yes ROCKY… you are fine… any way (cough cough) Check out these shots I grabbed. Love!
Oh, and you can see some more photographs of concerts that I captured on millistephaniaphotography.com

I secretly love 10 minute photo sessions. When you do something right, there’s no need to stay there longer than needed. My cousin Sasha and her family has been growing non-stop these past few 4 years. I’ve photographed a couple of her milestone (clink on the events below to see) and this was no different, now that she’s expecting baby number 3.
Contrary to the pictures because of all the pink, she’s expecting another boy! Dad Ramgy was hoping for a girl, but Sasha was pretty content knowing she was going to be the only queen in the house!
