Family: Harvest Festival

I’ve always been really good at finding fun stuff to do. Especially in the summer time. NYC is filled with so many activities, all you have to do is a little bit of homework. When the weather starts to drop it gets a little harder, but that doesn’t deter me for long. Now that I  have kiddies in my life (my niece and nephew) I get to search for family things to do— because no one wants a grown woman without kids showing up to family stuff, that’s just weird.

Randall’s Island was hosting a Harvest Festival and I didn’t hesitate to tell my siblings about it. The kids would have the chance to play, listen to live music and just roam around (not inside a house)
I signed up Harlie right away to play with the chickens, and she didn’t seem scared, but she didn’t seem to interested to be touching them either. Amaury was a different story, he just looked so confused as to what this creature was next to him, pecking at the pumpkins on the floor.

The kids are getting bigger, and I find it fascinating how these little humans have their own little personalities. Watching them grow and learn is a such a blessing. I’m truly a lucky aunt.

Family : Khloe’s Dedication

My niece Khloe is turning into a beautiful little young lady. I don’t get to see her as much as I would like to, and hopefully that changes soon. Today, I had the chance to see her get dedicated, which is another way or form close to a baptism. Watching her waddle her way in a little white dress was the cutest thing I’ve seen. I also had the chance to see my nephew Tristan, who is getting sooo big and is super handsome with adorable curls and light eyes. Ugh, so much cuteness, I can’t take it!

Family: 4 Month Old Harlie Alexa

Harlie Alexa is 4 months old now… look how chunky she’s filling out. That smile is absolutely contagious, she looks like a little grandma in that tiny body. I’m such a lucky madrina. Here she is with her abuela, my mother, while she gets milk wasted in the center image.

Welcome to the World Harlie Alexa

I don’t think I can express how much I have fallen in love. It’s official guys she’s the one.

When my brother  first told me Taimane was expecting, I waited for his reaction. I was the first one he told, and I simply asked “How do you feel?”

The smile on his face was priceless. He was so excited.
Many moons to today, he messages me that Taimane has gone into labor, sadly though at 2:30am I was asleep. As soon as I wake up at 9am, naturally I check my phone. She’s here! I jolted out of bed and got dressed. I wish I could say I left my apartment immediately, and I did sort of, but not until I did a happy dance.
I picked up some Chinese food to feed the new parents, purchased about 8 balloons and made my way to the hospital. I’m on my way to Labor & Delivery. It really hit me in the elevator. I start tearing up, happy tears. I’m about to meet my niece, my little big brother is a dad now, everything is changing. From this point on everything is about her. I’m so emotional.
I walked in to the room, and Taimane seemed like nothing even happened. She wasn’t in any pain, just sleepy. What a trooper. Kiki on the other hand was already on overprotective mode. Sweetest thing ever.
They tell me she was born at 9:11am in the morning, she’s a healthy 6 pound baby, with a nice full set of hair. She’s perfect.
I held her and my heart just melted. This is what love is.

Taimane & Christian’s Babyshower: Celebrating Harlie Alexa

This December I’ll be meeting the love of my life, and I couldn’t me any more excited. For now, this November, we’ll be celebrating her arrival. My god daughter Harlie Alexa is going to be surrounded by so many loved ones who can’t wait to meet her. What a lucky little girl.
Welcome to her Baby Shower. The theme “Winter Wonderland fit for a Princess

Everything looked absolutely adorable, and pink!
I think we all pretty much know how Dominican baby showers play out, a bunch of families, loud music, dancing, great food and a couple of drinks. this time we’ll be merging two families together, all who are going to adore this little girl to the fullest. So, I hope you all enjoy the pictures for now. December is rolling by quickly, and I can’t wait for these two to become parents already. Congratulations, Taimane & Christian!Thank you to Inoaphoto for all of the photography
