What, did you think we weren’t gonna get get down and dance all night. Ha! You must not know Dominicans very well.
After we left the church, we arrived in style back to El Palacio Royal. Everyone was already seated and waiting for the wedding party to arrive. Mami seemed liked she was in a better mood after the vows. And knowing my dad, as long as Mami is happy, he’s happy.( Plus less of a headache.)
The venue was absolutely gorgeous. The attention to detail was insane. The little trinkets at the table fit right in with the romantic and coral theme.
I was kinda peer pressured into saying a few words, and even though I’m a great speaker—in English. I knew I had to shut this down in Spanish.
Knowing all the up and downs we have all gone through over the years, all the bickering we have all done towards each other, family is family. And even though we don’t always get along, you guys are it. My step dad to me is my dad. He’s the kindest man I know. If anyone ever asks— he’s the real deal. And I know, I’m so blessed to have him in my life, our life, mami’s life. Being her rock.
The spot light was on them, they danced their first dance in the most of bubbles and confetti, and they looked so magical on the dance floor.
After taking a bunch of pictures (I couldn’t really hold my own camera all night, since I had to be posing. I handed it off to my Michelle and she rocked it)
The food was delicious. I wish I had a plate right now and I heard the drinks were on point. I think all the dancing I did was enough to keep me occupied. Everytime I would go up to the bar for water, the bartender made sure he picked on me in a flirtatious way.
After taking all the wedding pictures mami kept hassling us to do (and which we still haven’t received from the vendor) I wanted to change. I had a second dress I couldn’t wait to get into. A mermaid style yellow number that made me feel like “chiquita banana”. I loved it, and apparently so did everyone else, because I kept getting compliments all night.
“La hora Loca” (which translates to “the crazy hour”) happened in a blur. The lights dimmed down, the fog began, and the music changed from soft to party mode. Right on time too. Mami changed into dress number 3. Funky hat’s and glasses were given out , and the crowd goes wild. I even caught Mami playing limbo, and my dad dancing to La Macarena!
This was such a special day for my family. My parent’s looked absolutely gorgeous. We don’t always see eye to eye, but now that I’m much older, I’ve learned to appreciate them so much more. I wish them all the happiness in the world.
And before I go, here’s a little drawing. I wouldn’t be me, if I didn’t create something new!

What’s Halloween without having a dope ass party to go to?
Anyone who knows me, knows that I adore Halloween to the fullest extent. I usually throw my own house parties, but this year it was time to do something different. If you haven’t noticed Pizzo Zoo parties on my blog before (see HERE & HERE) it’s a don’t miss, and you’re always guaranteed a good time. This year I decided to keep it a bit simple, and went for a gypsy/fortune teller vibe.
Almost like I did for the Paper Factory’s Masquerade Event (see that HERE). This time, I sat in front of a mirror, picked up some makeup and some paint, and started working on my face. Good thing I have some background in body paint, but I’ll admit, it was a little difficult at first to paint inverted. I’m so used to painting others straight forward, having my hands face myself was a little of a challenge at first, but I got it. I think I did pretty damn good for myself.
Olivia and BB were already waiting for me at the doors, surprisingly the line wasn’t as long as I expected, which was a relief. Nikki was on her way, and she looked so adorable as a little scarecrow. I haven’t seen her since the last Pizza Zoo, and I really missed her. We got to bust out some moves on the dance floor, what a way to catch up.
I kept getting compliments on my eye, I was loving that. Oli was a ballerina, and we kept seeing a posse of them. We joked about how they should put on a dance routine for everybody after the party. Now how cute will that be?
Sometimes Twitter, let’s you in on little secrets, well, not much of a secret if it’s on Twitter, haha. but I knew there was a 3rd floor around here somewhere. The 1st and 2nd floor, was packed, like always. So I was on the hunt for that staircase. The 3rd floor was being taken over by House 78, just what I needed! There was space to dance and get crazy, the DJ was killing it! I had a slice of pizza in one hand, a drink on the other, while my hips were working it out on the dance floor, talk about multi-tasking.
Back on the first floor, a costume challenge was going on. Participants dress up like Joanne the Scammer, HIM from the Powerpuff girls( he was rocking it by the way, my favorite) and many others. I love seeing how creative people get.
After the party, we purchased tickets to the after party, it was being held on a boat on Pier 81. We got there pretty early, and since the boat was departing at 1am, we had enough time to grab something to eat real quick. Instead of walking until forever, I stopped at a Halal cart and ordered chicken over rice. Something to fill me up really quickly since I was going to be drinking some more. It’s all about balance.
When we got back the line was long, and it wasn’t moving. After 30 minutes wait, we finally moved for the first time, not by much might I add. Everyone on line was getting antsy, Nothing was happening, and rumors were going back and forth that nobody else was getting on the boat. What?
Nobody wanted to hear that, everyone starts shoving, there’s cursing and threats being through. We’ve been on line for an hour and every single person on the line has paid to get inside. Except we were outside, and the line was now turned into a mob. The riot was getting louder, and the security didn’t have much information about anything. We all kept asking to get our money refunded, and of course they had nothing to do with it. Fights started to break out, and I noticed the crew that run Pizza Zoo were doing their best to not have to deal with anybody.
Many started to jump the line, threaten the guards, insisting to either be let in the boat or give back the money. All they kept saying is that they were over capacity. I understand selling a few extra tickets in case some don’t show, but selling more than 100 tickets extra and not letting them get in side, its absurd! All you’re doing is creating a disorderly crowd. After waiting on line for an hour and change, since we were right in front, we were granted the chance to go inside. Finally. I went straight to order myself a glass of wine, to get me back on a better note. This whole thing was ruining my night. I noticed some guy throwing up over the side of the boat, and I went back to the bar and got him some water and just walked away. He didn’t look like he wanted to be bothered anyway. BB, Oli and I made some new friends on the line, and when were inside finally got to dance. The only thing we really wanted to do. No lie, I only danced one song and a half until an announcement was made that the boat was finally leaving at 2am. Finally, we had a small chance of hope left…. that is until, the other half of the second song was finished and another announcement was made. Somebody was smoking weed, another fight broke out, and now everyone had to get off the boat.
What the fuck!?
There were cops outside , directing everyone to get out, horns honking from their patrol cars, it was intense, it was insane. To make matters worse, I wanted to know what Twitter was saying. You have a huge crowd of disappointed party goers who spent their money to have a good time, and nothing close to it. Being shoved, waiting on line for an hour and half, getting kicked out, and escorted by police offers to keep it moving, was and never will be my idea of fun. At this point, I could even understand if I was drunk, but I wasn’t. I don’t allow myself to get to that point any longer. I have my drink, I have a good time, I know when to stop. All I wanted was to dance, and escape reality for a little bit. That was the opposite of this experience, which I ended up paying for. When addressing it online, it felt that any owners affiliated with the Pizza Zoo brand, ignored all negative feed backs, and only retweeted and addressed the tweets when it taken in a positive manner. Why not express a simple apology to the people who support your cause? Even if there was no money given back to everyone who suffered this lost, (it’s business, it’s understandable) but a simple apology expressing everyone’s concerns on how they were treated at the event should have been acknowledged and not ignored. I would say, how do you expect people to return and spend more money on you, when you provided such a horrible experience, with no order? But I also understand, that we all grow, and everyone on the PZ team is rolling with the punches. They’re growing so quickly, that they possibly can’t control every aspect of the event. Yes, the original Pizza Zoo was great, always, but that after party, you might as well have sunk the boat. Maybe it’s time to expand your team, as your events expands as well. I say all this not to speak badly on the team’s behalf, but to give a piece of advice. I do see you guys being so much bigger and better than what you already have. I see great success in all of your futures, and yes, I will be back for more. But maybe, just maybe you could have recognized all that happened and not put it on the back burner like it never existed. On that note, I leave this post like this… Pizza Zoo, you were amazing as always. This Halloween was a blast, no matter of the huge hiccup. I know that all things planned do not go as designed in our minds. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, because I know I sure did. I got to experience events where I painted and danced all my struggles away, and that to me is priceless.
Until next time loves,

Pizza Zoo, oh, you’ve been fun. For those of you who don’t know what it is, picture a house party, with cool vibes, drinks, pizza and music blasting. It was amazing.
I haven’t seen MaryAnn in quite some time, you know, work and living our lives and all. So when I saw that this event was happening again, I didn’t want to go with anyone else but her. I’ll admit, I’ve only been to one Pizza Zoo before, last year around April, and it’s no lie when they say, the company you keep makes it all worth while. I’m getting ready, pre-gaming with some wine, before Mary Ann pops up at my house. I’ve been hearing rumors about the rain, and I honestly wasn’t too worried about it. I was only hoping it would rain once I was already over there and not on my way. Dominicans answer their hair, am I right or am I right? That didn’t stop the Twitter world though, suggestions from “we’ll just have a wet T-shirt contest!” were spiraling and I couldn’t help but laugh.I also noticed a lot of people were trying to find tickets at last minute, since all of the online tickets were sold out. I’m just glad I planned ahead. Hey, I’ve been carrying my printout ticket in my wallet for a week.
I was so excited. When we arrived it was everything I thought it would be and I was ready to dance. I’ve been to The Well, the space where the event was taking place, once before. It was nothing compared to the last. I was sitting at a bar in the quiet playing board games. This time, DJ was mixing it up and the outside area was getting filled up quickly. We ordered some Tiki punches and soaked it all in.I bumped into a lot of familiar faces, which was great. What was even better was all the positive vibes that was going around. Everyone was just trying to have a good time and you can tell by all the dancing, singing, drinking, mosh pits, and every being carrying around that was going on… that was happening.Pizza Zoo was supplying, you guessed it, pizza! Getting a slice was a little difficult though. I found myself next in front of the line around 3 times, and them running out each time. Hahhaa. . .no worries, that’s why you make friends. Kevin, a super cutie laughed at me, because apparently I was being too nice and didn’t want to tackle anyone, so I got a bite out of his. And later ended up getting me a slice as well. Thanks!
Everyone kept trying to get fed, and was pushing each other like crazy. It wasn’t that serious. It’s just a slice guys, we came here to dance anyway!
All I know is I had a great time, and consider me there for the next one!
Ps. Check out the video below, a whole bunch of random clips thrown together. lol

Cheers to my first Halloween party! Well technically, I told Chris it was his, since originally it was his plan to throw a party like he did last year, (See that post HERE)but after complications, we were all ready to make other plans, I really wasn’t in the mood to be outside and get killed, so at a last minutes notice, I was like fuck it, party at my place!
Chris was awesome and helped set everything up, made the place look all shabby and we had some fun shopping at the distributors for massive amounts of beers. Boy was my fridge looking pretty. But not for long… The beer pong table was set up and everyone was ready for some drinking games. Chris was under quarantine because of Ebola, Jb was an old fisherman, Ramon was Rick James Bitch! (Even though he was looking like a slutty Peggy Bundy haha) Nikki was a school girl version like in Gossip Girl, Frances was a kitty, Naomi was Clark Kent, Crystal was a Medical Marijuana Nurse, Jessica was a leopard, Tatiana and Cintia were french maids, Ash was a chicken head (hahaha) and we were all really really drunk!
I opted for a diy version of a 50’s housewife, all from my closet, and got to work.
The night was amazing, I suck at beer pong, not like it has ever stopped me from playing and drinking all the beer, I mean.. you lose, you drink all the beer! Dancing, did it.. I even got picked on because I ran out the room so fast after they played some spanish music, guess I’m pretty predictable when it comes to dancing some bachata.
I told myself the party will end about 2am, and omg, I am such a liar. Not only did I not like the clock not even once, the party ended around 5 am without about 6 friends crashing all over my place, which I thought was pretty funny.
I had work the next day and all I wanted to do was sleep. You guessed it, I had a hangover and had fun day of work, while everyone went off to get some ihop with out me…booooho 😥

When I tell you I have ratchet friends, you better believe me…. and I absolutely love every second of it!
Kevin was celebrating another year of life, too bad he didn’t know there was a celebration going on. Maryann planned a surprise party and did her thing on the birthday cake. She had her mind set on an adult cake and after hunting and going crazy for someone to make it, she decided to make it herself. Best thing she did.
Once everyone showed up, had a few (alot of) drinks, played some beer pong and got dancing. .. we all started to pick on her, insisting the ass cake that she made looked like it was made to resemble her own ass. Straight to the pigment of her skin tone. She swore it wasn’t in purpose. ..mhmmm maryann!
I for one was ready to dance, especially some spanish music. I swear I’m addicted. Good thing for mw I had some ladies with awesome dance moves, I was sweating in no time.
I hope you guys enjoy these pics, I know I had a blast, and also…. Happy Birthday Kev!!!!

A coworker of mine was helping her niece have a great 2nd birthday. So of course I had to jump in a little and some work. Dahiana was great with the kids. There were so many kids playing all times of games, hula hoop competition, limbo, duck duck goose, potato sack racing and soooo much more. I actually joined in on the fun when the adults got to play musical chairs. I was runner up… ah, soooo close! Q actually came with, since Saturday’s are usually our days. He was such a big help once we were decorating, he helped set up all the food, and had an even better time eating it afterwards. I ended up taking about 300 pictures and so many videos of today, but I’ll spare you the rambling and put up a few, especially since I don’t want to post up too many kids that don’t belong to me on social sites. Until next time guys!
Ps. I’m soooooo loving this purple do.

I am no longer a clubbing person, like I used to be, I feel like I’ve outgrown that stage in my life. Don’t get me wrong, when I’m invited to go out for someones birthday, I’ll make an appearance, have a few drinks and even dance my night away, but for me to be the one to insist on a night out like that,
ha, I don’t think so.
It’s so over done and not even remotely close to being something I would plan.
Sara, came with a bag full fruits and started making some sangria for all of us to enjoy.
Munching on pizza, we so fat 🙂
Chevy was working a miracle with my brother’s hookah, which I have to return, since I grabbed it by mistake, thinking it was mine, because my old one was also green.
Since there was a piece missing, we ended up youtubing how to make it work with an apple.
Since I wanted a new one anyway, I decided to go run off to the store and ended up buying a pretty pink one, while Chevy fell in love with an ice cream that she swore was discontinued and we ended up buying like three.
I gave Sara this little present that ended up reminding me of her, one day while shopping.
It was a book about anti porn, but not precisely that, it was more of that fact that it explained how feminists react to it and how negative it may make women be perceived.
Chevy, as adorable as she is brung, Cranium, which we ended up playing and laughing at our stupidity.
We also made friendship bracelets while talking about boys.
This was the bracelet I made for Chevy.
Her favorite colors, blue and green.
Oli was struggling to make mine, but I loved it.. and as soon as she finished I wore it as an anklet instead.
Mine is purple and white ♥
Sara made Oli’s and Chevy made Sara’s.
I told he, that canvas was officially on sale, and 2 minutes later I was wrapping up the canvas in silver foil for her to take home safely.
I love when my pieces go to good homes, and I know she’ll be appreciated in Sara’s place.
Thank you boo, love you! Pretty colored lemon tinted by the wine.Contortionist in the making. Caught taking a selfie! Oli came with cupcakes, yum! After all the games, we took turns doing each others makeup and had a little fun….
Util next time guys!
