Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to attend art shows. It’s been a little while, but Fem.Is.In was a great way to get me going again. Seeing Swoon, Queen Andrea and Lady Pink‘s pieces in person again, are always a reminder to get my craft together. The push to start creating and stop making excuses. Great show Ladies!

Two weeks later after I showed you guys the WIP (Work In Progress) for this New Artwork, I finally get to show you guys the finished product. This Curly Canary was already finished and I was just waiting for the owner to have it in his possession before putting it online. You know how things go, then plans happen, and you get so caught up with everything around you. (Which also explains why my last post was bout 5 days ago, sorry guys, you know I’m usually more consistent than that when it comes to my blogging) As I mentioned in the behind the scenes post (see that HERE) this piece started off with me having full control of what I wanted to paint. Jokingly around, I mentioned how I would make her resemble me a bit, with her curly purple hair and some tats to match.
I didn’t want to use much color. Much as in the amount of colors used, because I was ready for this piece to be vibrant. Especially since I already knew where it was going to be displayed, and since the new owner already had pieces of works hanging, I wanted to make sure my Minxette would stand out. Not that it’s much of a problem now, since I noticed she’s being showed off right in the middle of his bedroom. Damn, maybe I’m a bit of a selfish one, haha.
I loved the way the highlighting on her skin tone came out. I swear to everything, I surprise myself every time I finish a new piece. I could never believe that I’m capable of doing what I do. Whenever I finish, I’m like ” omg, I just did this.”
It’s like another force was moving my hands in the way they need to go, and all of a sudden I wake up to something new. I see how much I’ve grown in these years and the change is drastic. I have so much more to teach myself. Yes, I teach myself everything. I mean, I went to High School for Art, but let’s be honest, I was always cutting class.
Anyway, back to the painting, and enough of me giving you these close up shots, showing of the detail work. Here is the official finished product… well, not official, you know what I mean, the real one is chilling in someone’s bedroom right now.
I love it, He loves it, Do you love it?

David and I have done it again…. I hope you guys aren’t sick of us yet! But with all these beautiful babes, who would be?
This time we got to work with Aura, a free spirit with a potty mouth and good heart. She mentioned she was eager about knowing where I was going to paint her, since she has through my portfolio and it seems almost every body part had been used. So why not change things up a little!?
I told her to kick her legs up and I got to painting. Check out the shots David caught of her.
Ps. This is my 800th Blog Post, yay!!!!!!!!!!

I already knew my X-men buddies were going to be in attendance & I was ready to mingle.Too Fly is an absolute sweetheart. I admitted to her that, we have been in many venues at the same time, I just never really bothered to say hi. I hit a lot of venues, and depending on my mood, I’m not always the first one to approach someone else.
I just start snapping away.
She told me she recognized me as well, and we immediately hit it off. Talking about friends in common and travels to Ecuador, which is where she’s living at now.
Long trip from home.
Her work was beautiful and feminine, like it usually is. The details on the roses were exquisite and the T- shirts and hoodies that were on sale were awesome. Pencil Print Circa 95 & Toofly Millie (with her husband Troy, and a long time friend and ex coworker to me) was in charge of the beverages, and I couldn’t be more excited. Her coquitos “Mi Isla” are so delicious. This time I got to try the Pumpkin Pie and Red Velvet.
I absolutely fell in love with the Pumpkin Pie and told her to save me a bottle.
Since I was going to be going to my brother’s house later on, I didn’t want o show up empty handed. These wooden rings were the cutest thing ever and were painted and designed by Toofly herself. Crooklyn’s Chula ♥ This wooden logo was a pin on the one of the hoodies that I just found irresistible. I think the broken pieces of cardboard behind the pieces gave it character, almost making the work jump up at you. Caught Millie, looking stunning behind her coquito stand. Post card Prints with a Dia De Los Muertos feel. This piece had to be one of my favorites. Even though she’s covered so you cant see her face, you can tell she’s absolutely beautiful and has a sense of pride and power by how intense her eyes are. She’s just staring at your soul. It was a cute show, it started to get busier once I started to head out. I got to meet some new friends and catch up with some old ones. No complaints from me.
Congrats on a great show TooFly.

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted up new body art for you guys.
This time I had the awesome Alejandra, Rabiii0sa, to you guys, join in on the fun.
She was so great to work with, painting her was a snap, and after picking on her for a few, a few beers loosen her up enough to relax in front of the camera.
Since her, Q and I are all friends it was too funny catching up.
This was also Q’s first time watching me paint someone completely nude.
Yes, he’s been with me to a few shows, but nothing beat having time and privacy.
Sometimes the rush of an audience makes you hurry.
So this was a first time for him, and he can’t complain, since he got to see some boobs that aren’t mine and not get in trouble for it!
I also worked with Madame Julievet for this shoot, since she’s been wanting to expand her makeup portfolio,
and what better way to experiment than to do crazy shoots with me!
I hope you guys enjoy this set, and don’t forget that artwork is always up for sale, so don’t feel shy.
Shoot me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org ) and let’s talk details.
or book me for a live performance
Read my F&Q for any additional questions, if you’re still timid, maybe your questions is already answered.
Until next time guys, Enjoy!
