Of course, we all know the open reception is always the best, especially since the artists are there to meet and greet fellow art lovers. This time, there was a short live painting performance by both artist, which is always a nice little spin on things. I was meeting long time friend Philartiste, who was eager to introduce me to friends, who were visiting New York for the first time, all the way from France, oui!
They were the best, and of course, since we all have our private/secret identities to keep, their pictures and mostly anybody else in this graffiti business have been pixelated for our viewing pleasure.
I remember when I used to have to do that.
Anyway, the gallery was great, the vibes and people were so energetic. I even managed to bump into my friend Luigi… who apparently, for years we are always in the same place once we compare images on instagram, yet never bump into each other! This time, while I was getting some custom labeled Cope 2 wine, that was brewed by Oliver from 67, we started cracking bc we finally got to bump into each other!
So, I hope you enjoy these photos.. and don’t forget to go to the gallery. A few blocks away was the Juxtapoz art show which you’ll be seeing next 🙂

I met up with Kat after work, to my surprise we almost looked like we planned our outfits to match, since we were both wearing camo pants, which I thought was pretty funny. All the way from Coney Island, we headed to the Bronx, yes it was a looong ride, but sometimes you just have to do these things. At least I do.
Before heading in to the show, we couldn’t resist, well I really couldn’t resist dragging Kat with me for a little shopping and pizza….
And theeeen we headed to the show.
As you can obviously tell by my title, Tuff City was holding their first all girl show and their line up was pretty damn good.
It was great bumping into friends I barely get to see any more.
After arriving, like 10 minutes later Kat had to go pick up Zj, so we hopped in a cab, threw him in the car, and jumped right back in to go back to the show.
Talk about making things happen.I walked back in with a Spiderman backpack in one shoulder and my godson in hand and got ready to mingle.I have to admit, with all the artist that were being shown, not much artwork was displayed. Seemed like everyone just put in two pieces and decided to call it a day.I know Nikki Nameless and Reds gave in about 4 pieces each, which made me a little happier.I bumped into my friend Ash, who I haven’t seen in forever. It was so great seeing him, and I was so glad he told me he was doing well, and officially has a new apartment which he wants little old me, to do a piece for.
Hmmm, so many ideas. Kat kept laughing at me, because apparently I kept having my face all up in Joey Chang’s piece, titled “Pu$$y”.
But it was so shiny! I got to catch up with the sweetest of the bunch,Erotica.
It’s always nice bumping into her. She’s so inviting and adorable.
Mommy and son love.Zj is a skeleton…..ah!Erotica had everyone writing on her “virtual black book” and I ended up doing this for her as quick as I possibly could.

Thanks to my brother J, my team, DC had a blast getting together and catching up. J usually plans this annual barbecue ( last years bbq post here ) for all of us to attend and actually spend time together, since everyone lately is usually caught up into their own world now-a-days.
( hopefully that changes )
I arrived with a bottle of vodka and a gallon of cranberry juice and greeted everyone with their kiss on the cheek, it didn’t take long for me to start hunting for food.
Of course I was super excited when I saw the guys from Mook Life grilling and I started calling shotgun on the burgers!
I spent most of the whole time throwing a football around, girls against guys and I must say, between me, Tuti, Set and Kash us girls definitely had a decent arm. I’m sure these guys were very impressed.
It was also nice seeing the DC guys from Canada, yes we’re everywhere!
Shout out to them.
The sun was blazing and I was so glad I wore a flowy dress instead of some regular jeans and a tee. My only mistake was playing ball in some thong sandals. I started to play barefoot in the grass, but once the game was over I put them on and they just snapped!
All I could think was ” How am I getting home? I’m sure as hell not hopping!”
Ens, the genius that he is hands me a knife and tells me to slice the bottom of my shoe open, thread the leather through and hand tie a knot at the bottom so I can at least get home.
What a prince.
I was happy when I noticed the bestfriend Ari ( Misha ) arrive, especially since she’s been so busy working on a super secret project that you guys are not supposed to know about yet, but will soon and hopefully enjoy. I was even more in shock when she popped up in a dress!
And even more, in stripes!
haha I loved it!
The lovely Kash ( Teekayelle ) also made an appearance and I’m always more than happy when I have friends from two different circles collide. Not that this was the first time of them meeting. We have much work and good times ahead of us.
And on that note, until the next adventure…. later guys.
