I bumped into this video via the famous Buzzfeed. Recently I have shared with you all, that I have PCOS (Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome). Now, I know in my case having children in the future is not impossible, only merely difficult. I am also in no rush to have kids at the moment, but maybe in years to come I would like to know that I have that option.
I’ll be honest having faith and staying positive sure gets hard sometimes. Sometimes the negativity of it all can become overwhelming. Even though I’m not at the point of acceptance, if it never happens. It’s good to know that not having children won’t be the downfall of it all.

I got to spend the day with my cousins Scarla and Diana, and their rugrats. Scarla’s oldest Chase was having a birthday, and even though the weather stopped her original plans from going Pumpkin Picking (boooo), Scarla was’nt going to let that stop her from surprising her little one with something special for his special day. She quickly set up some decorations and had Diana’s kids wait super quiet downstairs while her two boys, Chase and Chad got ready. Chase had no idea anyone was even in the house, so his face was priceless once he finally made his grand entrance and everyone yelled “SURPRISE!” After singing happy birthday, all the kiddies decked out in their ninja turtles attire it was ready for part 2 of the day.. Chuckie Cheese. While waiting for Scarla to get everything together, you know, mom stuff.. I took the kids outside and had them play red light, green light 1-2-3. I used to play this game all the time when I was their age with my cousins(who are all grown and popping out babies now! haha)
Once we got to Chuckie Cheese, I was on big kid mode, of course I was snapping pics away like I usually do, but I was ready to kick some butt! I did pretty good when it came to basketball, and apparently that was Chase’s favorite as well. That went out the window quickly as soon as he saw that Chuckie the mouse was coming out, he was sooo excited! I have never seen a kid so happy as I saw him when he came out. I swear Chase was holding on to the poor guy in the suit, and even though the mouse kept walking around, there was Chase grabbing him by the shirt. I can’t say the same for Katelyn, Diana’s baby girl, as a tough cookie that little girl is, (super smart, love it!) Her and Chuckie was not a good mix… as soon he got close or even half way across the room, she would panic, She was so scared, I felt so bad… but I loved when she was clinging on me! ♥
It was a good day!

My godson Zj just finished Kindergarten, I’m so proud of him, especially since he was recognized for his well doings in science! After the casual ceremony, we all headed to I-HOP to get fat. We were starving, and I for one was ready for a huge omelet and some pancakes. I encouraged Zj and his cousin Aidrian to race, let’s see who sips water the fastest, check out the outcome! After stuffing our faces, the kids drifted ways with Z and Katt and I were headed for some thrifting. The mermaid parade is around the corner and we yet to have our outfits in order. We were in need for some sequins, and the fabric shop was the best place to do so. Since it was so hot outside, slushies were the only things that could rescue us from the sun. We headed to dunkin donuts for some of their coolatas. Much needed.
All the walking we did was a love/hate thing. I like that I’m being so active lately, especially after Bonnaroo and all the walking I did on the farm. But like most hispanic women, I needed to stop at a store to buy some short, because my thighs were starting to making a fire. Chaffing is the worst!

But why did my heart just melt right now….
I bumped into this video of kids dancing salsa right now and I am just in awe of how amazing the footwork is.
Maybe my latina soul took over, because I’m dyiiing to go spanish dancing.
Mind you I may not be as good as these kids, but give me a bottle of wine and I can make believe I am!
I in no way own this video, know the kids, or know the salsa tour

A coworker of mine was helping her niece have a great 2nd birthday. So of course I had to jump in a little and some work. Dahiana was great with the kids. There were so many kids playing all times of games, hula hoop competition, limbo, duck duck goose, potato sack racing and soooo much more. I actually joined in on the fun when the adults got to play musical chairs. I was runner up… ah, soooo close! Q actually came with, since Saturday’s are usually our days. He was such a big help once we were decorating, he helped set up all the food, and had an even better time eating it afterwards. I ended up taking about 300 pictures and so many videos of today, but I’ll spare you the rambling and put up a few, especially since I don’t want to post up too many kids that don’t belong to me on social sites. Until next time guys!
Ps. I’m soooooo loving this purple do.

Last year 2012 there were 25 shooting and 6 deaths associated with summer basketball alone.
In May 2013 organizations came together to form a think tank to address this dimension of gun violence. Some organizations became involved because they were inspired by personnel stories others said enough was enough, and others said let’s be about doing something.
The XMENTAL way is to mentor through the power of art, and there’s no better host than Tatu himself. The mission is to empower the community with the tools to keep parks safe, incorporating games, positive hip hop, and the sharing of information.
A tribute and community project to raise awareness on violence.
Everyone involved donated their services and talent to make the week long event a success. Along with the live painting. There was a sound system set up , young performers and other org’s working with XMENTAL .
Tatu did such a great job getting everyone together, helping out and being involved.
Being surrounded by so many talented individuals who care about the children and the way they live their lives is such a great feeling.
Not only were there talented people of all different types of ares, singers, poets, dancers, painters..
For those who were having a hard time finding a job, for those who haven’t and still need to get their GED, for those who need help with childcare, for those who want to know more about their rights, especially what they should know if they ever get stopped by the police,
Q and I .
Once it hit 5:01pm the cops were already trying to shut us down. We had until 5pm.
Give us a little break..
I swear, I never have sketches…
I don’t even know how I end up saving myself half of the time. I surprise myself.
I’ll keep looking at it once it’s done like:
