Fall is right around the corner, which means my summer hair needed to go bye bye. I usually like bright funky colors, and if you have been following my blog posts long enough, you would see that I have had a bunch. I have had everything from orange, to silver, black to burgundy, red, and magenta (see here) My go to hair color has always been the darkest jet black possible. Which as we all know can be horrible when stripping. I honestly don’t know how I have any hair left, but grateful I still do. I was ready to go full on black because my hair needs to breathe and get return back to health. Yes, I’ve been doing deep conditioners and hot oil treatments. (I should start making at home hair masks; oils, eggs, avocado etc) I decided to go with a brown, who decided to go by the name of “Mocha”. I bought 2 bottles, ready to drown my head in color, when I realized… I wasn’t ready to get rid of my purple.
I just love it so much. I had a lot of growth, which I’m surprised I let grow so long, because I hate when roots are showing! But my roots where faded with an orange that looked almost white from my previous color.(see here) It looked horrible, and with the way I had my bangs swept to the side, I hated it. Especially since I was trying to grow my bangs out, succeeded for a bit, but with all the damage in the front of my hair, they just fell out, slowly. If I’m gonna do something, I’m going to do it right.
I decided to blend in the mocha color with original roots and just keep blending in with the purple. At first I wasn’t sure if it was going to look right, because I kept brushing while dying, so I wont have just one patch of brown on purple. But once I blew it out, and cut my bangs the right way. I loved it. When you see it in person, it looks like it could be black, but when the light hits it, its a pretty blend of browns and purple.
I consider this a win win!
Dark enough to stay healthy and look professional, and I still have some color to brighten up my life!
Now, my hair needs to continue to grow so I can start chopping some of these split ends!

It’s time for Mood Board No.2 (See Mood Board No.1 HERE)
I told myself I was going to start making these just because it’s easier for me to express myself visually. Especially since I have so much and so little going on in my head all at the same time. Confusing, I know!
Well, Lately I’ve been procrastinating like crazy. I have commission pieces to finish and they just keep staring at me. I don’t know what it is, either it be laziness or just plain stupidity. I’ve been staying up late at night like I don’t know what to do with myself… you would think I would paint since I’m up so late.
Also, I’ve been trying to stick to the natural texture of my hair, which is kinks, curls and tangles. I want my hair to actually start getting healthier and all the heat that I apply is torture. Of course, I can’t get rid of the color, because I’m a hair dye whore… but I did manage to make my hair darker without losing all my purple. I’ve been debating about going back to black for healthier reasons, but it sounds so boring!
Well, Let me finish watching this Tammy movie at 2:30am
Goodnight guys… (like I’m going to sleep anytime soon)
