New Artwork: Yemoya

After finishing this piece, I later realized she reminded me of Yemoya. Yemoya is the major water deity from the Yoruba religion. She is the protectress of all women, she over-sees deep secrets & ancient secrets. I learned about her and other Orishas, from Santeria on my recent trip to Cuba.

It’s Tuesday morning. We might be covered in snow, but I’m reflecting back on island times. The warm weather, the slight breeze, the waves that don’t only say hello.
I decided to play with lines today, but I should really take advantage of this day off, and work on some commission pieces.
Happy Snow Day!
