April showers bring May flowers, but to me it only means I need to start thinking light and bright.
I have way too much black in my closet, and as convenient as it may be sometimes wen rushing in the morning, sometimes you just need color to lift up your spirits. I promised myself I was going to start thinking just a little bit more girlier. I notice my style changing and I don’t know if it’s because of the season or because maybe I’m at the age where low rise jeans and over bearing sexy attires aren’t just that cute to me.
I want to be able to dress modest without having to feeling so over exposed. I need to dress like a grown up. This thinking has even had me make major changes, and when I say major, I think we all know I’m talking about hair. If you guys have been following me for some time now, you know I’m constantly changing my hair color. I’ve done it all, but now I’m gradually shifted from all the crazy colors like purple, blue, pink into something more neutral.
I went for a brown with blonde hints to it, something I thought I would never do in my life, since I like to cause so much attention. I love it though. I feel like it softens my face, I don’t need to wear as much makeup, I can just be simply put together, no matter If I’m wearing it straight or rocking out my curls.
Being able to have a nice wardrobe to match the new locks is a must for me, and I’ve been lusting over gold tones, bright tops and white shoes. My love of black and white stripes and polka dots is something that would never fade, I just know it. That doesn’t mean I can’t transfer it over into using them on a lighter note. I feel like those prints are my stamp and I’m sure I’ll start mixing patterns in no time.
Happy April everyone!
