After my second run in with the cold at Tribeca’s Fim Festival, I joined David again with more friends and we watched the movie Splash with Tom Hanks. I’ve never seen it before and since I arrived late, I can officially say I’ve only watched the last hour of it. It was pretty cute though, about a mermaid who falls in love with a human. Little mermaid style, minus the animation. After the movie, we headed to a Burlesque lounge by the name of “The Slipper Room“. I have to admit, at first I wasn’t really feeling it, especially since I was more willing to spend my cash on food and drinks. Plus, I have seen plenty of Burlesque shows in my days, and at this moment I just wanted to get fat.
After compromising, we headed to a Mexiacn taco spot and Esteph and I split a burrito. After our grouchiness was gone a bit we headed to the The Slipper Room and roamed for seats. The first act was a little wack, so my grumpiness was in full attack mode. After the first female dancing left the stage, things got a little better and more hilarious and I actually started to enjoy myself. I have to admit, I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted, especially because I was recording most of the time. I tried putting them on Youtube, but due to the songs and copy-writing issues..womp womp.. here we are.
Let’s see if I can straight up, upload one on to here… if not, enjoy the little photographs I did take.
The dancers were amazing, and very free-spirited. David almost fell in love with one of them, let’s see if we can get her to be painted on.
Any who…later loves.
